A Playhouse Captain will be the “expert” in charge of one playhouse, the person who instructs the team building the house as to the necessary steps. We provide training beforehand. This is a wonderful volunteer experience allowing you to give back to those who have served our country during our Operation Playhouse events.

This is a wonderful volunteer experience allowing you to give back to those who have served our country during our Operation Playhouse events.
OPERATION PLAYHOUSE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Operation Playhouse is a charitable program designed for companies & groups to honor military families by building & donating custom playhouses. To make this possible, we need dedicated volunteers who are able to provide hands-on assistance. Your help furthers our efforts of building affordable homes and performing home repairs for local families & veterans.
Want to help? Volunteer opportunities include:
- Preparing playhouse components & kits. This may include cutting wood, painting, wrapping kits, loading/unloading our truck (18+ only for cutting wood). These opportunities take place on scheduled weekdays throughout the year.
- Volunteer as a Playhouse Captain – A Playhouse Captain guides our sponsor teams through their day of building a playhouse. Our build events take place at our sponsors’ locations or at one of our Build-A-Thons, Mon-Fri, 7:45-4:00PM, throughout the year. We provide training prior to the event.
