Our Raise the Roof Auction & Gala raised over $240,000! We are thrilled! It is truly inspiring to see our community come together to help local families and veterans who need a safe and affordable home. We are so grateful to all our generous supporters. A special THANKS to Side by Side Charitable Organization, our Golden Hammer Honoree, who always goes the extra mile on behalf of veteran families who need a safe place to live.

♥ Over 60 local families have built strength, stability, and self-reliance through living in an affordable and decent home.
♥ Over 55 local families are safer and more secure made possible through our Home Repair program.
♥ And over 560 veterans who have sacrificed so much for our us have been presented with free playhouses for their children.

Side by Side Charitable Organization

Led by Chair and Founding Member, Bill McGuirk, and supported by a committee of talented and passionate business leaders, we are pleased to announce the Side by Side Charitable Organization as our 2025 Golden Hammer Honoree. The organization began in 2014 working to support veterans through an annual charity golf tournament. At that first tournament, supporters played golf side by side with veterans, inspiring their name. Since 2016, to date, the Golf Tournament and their Auction and Comedy Night (begun in 2022) have raised over $1,500,000 to help fund organizations that provide important services to support veterans.

Since 2016, Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester has been fortunate to be the primary recipient of funds raised through their two annual events to support the programs we offer veteran and military families. Those programs include Affordable Home Builds, Home Repair, and Operation Playhouse to align with our mission to build homes, communities, and hope. With an affordable home, families build strength, stability, and self-reliance. With Side by Side’s generous support, we are pleased to continue to extend our services to the heroes who walk by our side – veteran and military families. Thank you Side by Side!
