Governor Baker made an exciting announcement – all COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted on May 29th. Habitat leadership is evaluating the impact on our organization so we can continue to maintain the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, donors and shoppers. Please stay tuned for updates. We will communicate these updates on our website, social media and email. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate these times together.

- Habitat for Humanity administrative offices will remain closed to the public except by appointment. Office staff are accessible over the phone by calling 508-799-9259 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Volunteer update: Given the current climate, our volunteer programs are limited. At this time, we are welcoming back our repeat regular volunteers. These volunteers have been previously oriented, trained and have worked with us on consistent basis during the past 12-24 months. If you are an individual who is able to make a long-term consistent commitment to volunteering at either our ReStore or out on our construction site, 1:1 virtual orientation can be scheduled. Participation in the virtual orientation is required. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Please contact Molly Pietrantonio, Volunteer Program Manager, for more information email@example.com.
- Construction is active at three sites currently, inviting 3-4 volunteers at each site. At one site, the work has been mostly indoors and space is limited, therefore 3 volunteers are onsite to allow for social distancing. At the other two sites, the work is outdoors and 4 volunteers are allowed, providing for social distancing. All build sites will continue with COVID work procedures: daily health check, use of PPE (e.g. mask, gloves and eye protection), social distancing and no sharing of food/drink. When the work is outdoors, following the guidelines set by the State, masks are optional as long as social distancing can be maintained. All volunteers are required to pre-register with the volunteer coordinator, walk-ons cannot be accepted.
- Both the Ashland and Worcester ReStores are open to the public for both donations and sales. Please visit the ReStore website for hours of operations and donation drop off days and times: www.letsrestore.org. We ask customers to maintain social distancing while shopping, abide by the marked spacing while waiting to checkout, and to wear face masks while shopping if they are medically able to do so. Our associates and regular volunteers are also following social distancing guidelines and wearing face masks. Our staff and volunteers are also not able to help carry items to cars due to the current guidelines. We ask that you bring help when purchasing items. We are also cleaning and disinfecting high traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces. Donations are being disinfected and wiped down before being placed on the sales floor. The ReStores have welcomed back a small handful of its repeat regular volunteers to allow for 3 volunteers per shift Tuesday-Saturday. Staff and volunteers must complete a health check when coming onsite. While onsite, the use of PPE (e.g. masks, eye protection and gloves) will be required.
