WPI Builds Playhouses!

Another heartwarming Operation Playhouse event took place on February 12, 2016! Groups from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) spent the whole day hammering, designing, and painting three Playhouses for local veteran families. Alpha Phi Omega, the WPI Habitat Club, Zeta Psi, Alpha Chi Rho, and Tau Kappa Epsilon worked on their playhouse themes of Sophia the First, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, and Doc McStuffins.

The recipients of the playhouses were the Conlin Family and their 3 year old daughter Amelia. Mr. Conlin is a Army National Guard veteran. The Olivo family and their three children ages 1, 3, and 12. Mr. Olivo is a U.S. Army veteran. And, the Pallotta Family with their two boys ages 3 and 8. Mr. Pallotta is also an Army National Guard veteran.

Please check out this amazing article written by the Daily Herd detailing the whole event with comments from the students, our staff, and the playhouse families!
