Join a Committee
There’s a lot more to Habitat than just hammers and nails. Much of the behind-the-scenes work at Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester happens within our volunteer committees. New committee volunteers are always welcome! Check out the event calendar for upcoming meetings or email volunteer@gwhfh.org with your interest in a specific committee:
- College Consortium Committee — bring together students, faculty, and staff from area colleges to develop campus chapters of Habitat and support affiliate projects.
- Construction Committee — set up build schedules, construction oversight, project budgeting, procurement of materials, and assurance of safety on the work-site.
- Development Committee — organize fundraising and in-kind contribution campaigns, lead volunteers in support of these activities.
- Faith Partnership Committee — create and maintain relationships with faith communities by building awareness of Habitat as an ecumenical Christian ministry that welcomes people of all faiths committed to the cause of eliminating poverty housing.
