The ReStore helps to fund HFH-MW/GW’s projects through a new business model that might be of huge interest to the average homeowner on a budget. The retail store at 11 Distributor Road, helps to make the projects come to life, and customers — and donors — are finding that the store is on their list of favorites. It is just one of the efforts that has helped Habitat for Humanity to find new ways of supporting its mission. Read more here.

Habitat for Humanity believes strongly in community building. We depend on the involvement of the community in order to make affordable housing a reality for families in need. Our affiliate has been fortunate to have many committed supporters. One example is O’Neil Brothers Concrete Contractor. Sean O’Neil and his family business have donated labor by laying down the concrete slab floors for all of our homes over the past 18 years. They did this all without once asking for recognition. Well, we at Habitat believe that such dedication should not go unnoticed. On behalf of us and all of the families whose lives you have changed for the better, thank you.

Instead of a build day in Sturbridge on July 30th, Habitat for Humanity – MetroWest Greater Worcester partnered with ‘Recover, Repair, Rebuild’ and their efforts to cleanup the communities affected by the June 1st tornado. Over forty Habitat volunteers worked side by side with homeowners, Sturbridge residents and other volunteers groups to clear fallen trees and brush, caused by the tornado. Habitat is working to become a presence in the communities where we build and were happy to help those affected by the tornado.
