Hero’s Night!

 A winning night for all!

The Worcester Sharks showed their support for Veterans by partnering with Habitat for Humanity’s Veteran Build Program. The community rallied together with generous bids on the Sharks custom jerseys during the silent auction held during the game. As the Sharks pulled out a 4-3 victory the crowd hurried to the Coors Light Zone where a live raffle of the team leaders’ jerseys were auctioned off. The Sharks dedicated fans spent the post-game hour outbidding each other in a nail biting, fundraising auction, while the players modeled their jerseys. All auction proceeds and a portion of ticket sales were given in support of Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build program – find out more about it here!

Also check out our Project Playhouse Video! Great work done by the sharks and volunteers from AstraZeneca, Bay State Savings, and NationalGrid.

Shark Build

Worcester Sharks for hosting Bay State Savings Bank, AstraZeneca and National Grid in building Playhouses for veteran families! These playhouses provide a safe environment for children and families to reconnecting after returning from active duty. The themes are all according to the child’s favorite TV show, sport, or activity to create a personalized touch to each house. Canadian Solar donated their Maple Solar Systems to Project Playhouse which lights two bulbs inside the home. Shark Build was truly a community mobilization experience bringing three great companies together in one fantastic location to support veteran families.

The Worcester Sharks will be airing a video of Shark Build at their Hero’s Game on February 21st at 6:00pm. The Sharks will be wearing custom jerseys to be raffled off after the game to support Habitat for Humanity’s Veteran Build Program. Tickets for the Hero’s Game bought at our ReStore, or by contacting our Director of Development, will provide support for our Veteran Build Program, and give you the opportunity to support Habitat, Veterans and the Worcester Sharks all in one night!

We hope to see you there!
