Spring Fling 2014

Join the Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester ReStore Saturday, May 17 from 10 am – 5 pm for the third annual Spring Fling! All proceeds will benefit the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope.

This event will have it all for the DIY enthusiast…come early, stay all day for the fun!

There will be a 50% discount off all items EXCEPT: ReColor Paint, ReStore Soda, Maxlite and Greenlite products, and specially marked items. 50% is taken off in addition to dated discounts.

WXLO 104.5 FM: #1 for Variety, owning Central New England. Hot Adult Contemporary station serving the Worcester radio market. The WXLO van will broadcast remotely from 10am – noon!


Gardens by Design: A landscape design and build company specializing in low-maintenance, creative and native landscape solutions for residential and commercial property. Selling concrete and metal garden figures and sculpture, occasionally using upcycled metal pieces.

Thirty-One Gifts: Stylish and functional products that can also be personalized—from handbags and purses to storage totes, baskets, stationery and more. Current specials and items to order will be featured along with a prize giveaway!

Regional Environmental Council Worcester: A grassroots environmental justice organization dedicated to building healthy, sustainable and just communities in Worcester and beyond. Organic vegetable seedlings will be for sale!

Next Step Living: On a mission to make it easy, affordable and rewarding for homeowners to implement energy-saving solutions to save energy and money, reduce their carbon footprint, and live more comfortably.

The Paint Exchange: The only recycled paint manufacturer in the state of Massachusetts; takes interior latex paint that would otherwise go to waste or end up in landfills or pollute waterways and processes it into paint for sale. The ReStore’s supplier of reColor paint!

The Paint Exchange will be collecting paint onsite in the ReStore’s donations yard. Guidelines are below:

Paint MUST BE:

  • Latex ONLY
  • In original container, specifying:
  • Type (e.g., latex)
  • Intended application (e.g., interior)
  • Gloss level (e.g., satin)
  • Visually matched to labelled content
  • In liquid form
  • Less than 10 years old

Paints CANNOT Contain:

  • Biological growth
  • Putrefaction
  • Skinning
  • Livering
  • Hard settling
  • Significant interior/exterior corrosion of container
  • Excessive debris (dirt, sand, sawdust, etc.)
  • Curdling or other evidence of being frozen
  • Any heavy metals prohibited by the MPI Standard (we will determine for you)

If you have any questions, we will be happy to assess your paint to determine whether we can recycle it.
